After the extraordinary success of the last edition with more than 250 participants, the 2019 edition of the Italian Guitar Campus will be held at the Hotel della Torre in Trevi (Perugia), immersed in the wonderful landscape of Umbria, in the immediate vicinity of Foligno and Spoleto from 5 to 9 August 2019.

To accommodate the requests of junior high schools and young guitarists, aged between 11 and 15 years, there will be a special young section that will take place in the same way as the Italian Guitar Campus and will be better directed towards the one specific age range. The young section will take place from 22nd to 26th July 2019 at the charming Hotel Villa San Donino in Città di Castello (Perugia).

The Italian Guitar Campus represents a meeting point between students and teachers from all over Italy and Europe, unique in Europe of its kind. Students take daily lessons, as well as with their main teacher, also with all the other teachers of the courses, further enriching their training. Thanks to the Campus, each participant accumulates  major will to deepen the study of the instrument with their teacher during the year. In this sense, the event reveals all its importance from an educational point of view.

All the participants, students and teachers, live the days of the Campus immersed in a serene environment of study and work, including lessons, concerts, conferences, in a dense exchange of opinions and experiences. The Campus is also a meeting place between teachers of Conservatories and Universities from Italy and Europe, constituting a valuable platform for cultural sharing and educational programming.

The Campus is organized in collaboration with the Accademia Nova di Roma, School of Music and Cultural Association active for thirty years, recognized by the City of Rome and affiliated with the Conservatory “A. Casella” of L’Aquila. The Accademia Nova has also been organizing Musical Campuses in Umbria for over ten years.
